Doctor Soni received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. He completed his residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Radiation Oncology in Rochester, New York, where he served as Chief Resident from July 1997 to June 1998, following which he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester’s Radiation Oncology Department prior to beginning to work in private practice in 2002.

Dr. Soni received the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award in 1997, and the John Michelis Memorial Award for high achievement in biomedical engineering. He graduated from Rutgers University with honors in electrical engineering and was admitted to two national engineering honor societies.  He is affiliated with the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncologists, the American College of Radiology, the American Medical Association and the Indian American Medical Association.

Dr. Soni is also a member of the President's Circle Member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, a board member of the American Indian Council, and the Union League of Chicago.
