A native of Arlington Heights, Dr. Ayers graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana and then went to the University of Illinois School of Medicine in Chicago for his medical degree. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston and continued on for a one-year fellowship in ambulatory medicine at the University of Hawaii. He then completed a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Loyola University Medical Center. Board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology, Dr. Ayers has been in practice since 2003. He enjoys spending his time away from work with his wife and two children.
